Welcome to the website of the UN Special Envoy for Financing the Health Millennium Development Goals and For Malaria. Ray Chambers serves in these dual roles at the request of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Many important institutions and individuals are working tirelessly to improve the health of people most in need, and the Millennium Development Goals provide a powerful framework for approaching these challenges. The Special Envoy’s Office provides support, direction and insight to assist key partners in government, multilateral institutions, the private sector and civil society.

The MDG Health Alliance is a special initiative of the Special Envoy’s Office. The Alliance works in partnership with governments, non-government organizations, academic institutions and corporations to develop innovative and accelerative efforts to drive progress towards achieving the MDGs.
